Friend of mine wants to convert to tubeless. He currently has Superstar XCX rims. Has anyone successfully run them tubeless, either with Yellow Tape and valves, or do they need a rimstrip? Tyre recommendations would be a bonus.... any TLR combos that definitely don't work, or any success stories with folding Schwalbes which he currently has? 29er before anyone asks.

AMX worked well for me with tape off their website and stans. First attempt they were leaking when I hit rocks etc. but solved this with a lot more washing up liquid to seat. Tried spesh ground control and bonty mud-x both good.
Also I had to spread the tape fairly wide to cover some holes off to the side. A friend has done xcx amx and dhx all fine.
