Anyone had any experience of these hubs? Looking at cheapish disc wheels for my commuter so want something hassle free that I can thrash..

I built a 26" front wheel with one recently.

Nice hub; plenty of metal (so it's strong), large bearings (so it runs very smoothly) plus spacers for most axle sizes.

I can see nothing but good service for the next few years!*

*assuming I built the wheel correctly. It's done about 4 months of 3-5 rides a week so far.

Superstar components do 50% off road wheel sets. Check their Facebook page for code. You could grab some nice and very cheap wheels on SS v3 of even v6 hubs. I am tempted to order some for my commuter.

Got some Superstar wheels on my Pinnacle Ramin commuter, WTB i29 rims on V3 hubs. Only done 800km on them so far but no issues as yet.

I have a set: the only thing to note so far on mine is that the front 'adapters / spacers' are very loose once you remove the wheel from the fork for whatever reason. They are easy to knock out / fall out / lose with the wheel out.

I've read similar comments from others.

Put a set on my hard tail, hub spilt nearly in half after 19 miles. Now awaiting a new wheel and hopefully just a rare fail.

Thanks just ordered some i19 disc road wheels, was looking at hubs / rims to build a set but at that price not worth the bother.
