Has anyone actually got these wheels, are they any good? They look OK for the money, reduced to £100 from £160. Or is it just worth the extra to buy XT hubs with EN521 rims from Merlin £180+£15 for splined adapters. Looking for some cheapish wheels as I'm putting my decent HT wheels on my new full sus.

Got them on offer with 9mm and 10mm thru axles and have to say so far they have been ideal as my winter wheel set-up. Yes they are heavy... but in UK winter mud/snow conditions who cares! Strong rims, well built, running true and with good adaptable hubs. £100 is nothing for a set of [so far] decent wheels.
I would recommend them over anything else I've seen/had at this price.
Where are they £100? The Superstar site still says £159.99 (unless my sunday lunch is clouding my vision, lol).
Cheers for the info, Just a bit sceptical of the quality at the price. There's not any proper reviews so its hard to gauge.
Go to http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=40 and its at the top of the page. They are the exact same as the £160 ones further down the page but only available in black.
Thanks for that, missed it (D'oh!).
Hey
I've got a set on my steel hardtail, yeah they're heavy but plenty strong especially if you're a bigger build like myself and don't like to take it easy.
I'm also constantly faffing about with different fork set ups so hub compatability was a biggy.
BUT i don't like the lil' blue graphic/sticker on the rim which will have to go soon as doesn't match the rest of my bike!
I was flicking through a Singletrack mag last night, October 2009, cos I couldn't find anything interesting on telly, and came across a 15mm compatible wheels grouptest, they had the Tech 2 XC Switch in the review and gave them a 'singeltrack recommended' stamp - 'For the money they can't be faulted ...' although a different rim to the Enduros you're looking at they seemed to rate them.
