Anyone on here had to change the bearings on these? I cant get the damn end caps off? Any tips? I cant pull them off, even with a vice. No purchase on inside to knock them out either. My only idea is to borrow a bearing puller and hope that it can get behind the cap to pull out. Pics show an oring to hold them on, so shouldnt be so hard to remove! TIA

You've tried to twist them in opposite directions first? Always the place to start with end caps, way easier to break them loose than pulling apart (and it'll also work if they're threaded on...)

The endcaps / adapters should just pull off by hand. The caps in front of the bearings won't come out by hand though. I believe they just get knocked out when you tap or pull out the bearings.

Mine has a thin, fine threaded part which holds in the end cap. I made a pin wrench to undo it, I had to thread lock mine as one came loose on a ride.

These aren't like other superstar caps or hope. They are 2 piece, so an inner and outer cap, so turning won't help. Never had an issue before.. pretty sure they aren't threaded

Pretty sure the early ones were threaded. Take a look at the adapters on the SS site and it mentions two types.

They are a couple of years old, so wouldnt think they are the newer threaded ones. I'll double check

Done it.
Gt85 was enough to allow me to pull them off with some long noise pliers. Bearings are like new so don't need to change them anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ I did make sure I put a fair amount of grease inside the end of the hub though. should make it easier next time.
Thanks all

make sure you get the little seal in correct. Can be a PITA to get fully in, mine was a big baggy.
