I just received my new wheels from superstar, Switch Evo hubs on ZTR crest rims. Look good but after only a few runs the front hub has play in it! Surely the bearings can't be goosed already. Probably around 70k in them. Bit of a pain for new wheels. I expect to true/tension them but not fix bearings this quickly.

mine developed wobble quickly, maybe not quite as quick as yours, but wobbling by hand you could feel it
It got noticeable while riding, My laziness put off ordering/fitting some others until 6months into using them. £2 ebay bearings going strong

EDIT: running on 20mm, which come up a touch wide (rather than a touch narrow) for 20mm Rev's, so not a play issue from the dropouts

Have had to replace mine too, not quite that soon! Though I will add that they come up slightly narrower than my Hopes so the QR15 really needs synching up tight or there is play.

Mine are on 9mm axles. I thought they were just rebranded Novatec hubs? I will swap them for some enduro bearings. Just a bit of a pain. Rear seems fine and are good apart from the bearings!

The original cartridge bearings fitted are fairly poor. Change them for some decent ones.

Any lbs stocking hope may well have 61804 in stainless
It's a very common bearing in front hubs

Front and rear went on mine after 6-8 months or so. Don't understand why they spec them with such crap bearings. Its easy enough to change them when they go, but even if they put decent bearings in from the start and charged a fiver more for the hub they would be good value.
