Anyone had the problem of pads dropping off backings with recent batches of Superstar pads?

Had a pad go on me this afternoon while going down Hagg Farm descent in Peak - not good! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

(Pads have only been in brake for a couple of rides, but can't remember when I bought 'em)

A friend had his disk brake rotors ruined by superstar pads in the alps in a matter of days. I've done alot of riding in the alps and had never seen anything like it. Big issue when getting replacement pads on holiday is hard and the brake pads you stocked up on are ruining rotors in a matter of days.

A2Z (blue) brake pads are far superior if you want a value brake pad. I've used both back to back in the same brakes on the same trails.

Thanks for the feedback. FWIW, it's the second set of Superstars that I've had problems with. Never had problems with brake manufacturers own brand pads (Hope, Magura, Avid or Shimano) in over 10 years - so after todays episode, I'm going back to branded pads.
