Anyone know if the big Red/White/Black logo on Superstar switch hubs is peelable ? I like the hubs but not keen on the "in your face" logo.
Also, anyone got a picture of the gunmetal coloured one ? There isn't one on the Superstar website.
all the stuff i've had has the logo anodized on (or whatever process it is) and isn't a sticker
Not really 'peelable'. I scraped the one off my front wheel and couldn't be bothered with the rear. I'm sure there's a better method though. Their 'Stealth' hubs (only in black I believe) have a much less offensive/conspicuous laser-etched logo.
I've got the stealth hubs and they look pretty slick.
or are you just too embarrassed to be seen with superstar componentry?
Hardly! I've got their wheel set with their AM-490 rims which have a much bigger sticker than the hubs do but the laser etching on the stealth hubs still looks better than the other logo. I've also got their headset and QR skewers which are laser etched and look kool.
...of course I may just be the butt of your joke.
