These seem to be £120 a pair at the moment in 26" - are there any problems with them? Difficult to build with?
I don't really need them at the moment, but with a couple of bikes still running 26" , I'm wondering whether they're worth buying and tucking away for a rainy day.
At the price theyre definitely worth having.
Ive had pair for the last 1.5 years, theyre way stronger than the lightbike rims i had before. Having said that i still managed to destroy the rear recently ,but it did last a lot longer than the light bike rim. The front is still going strong.
I destroyed a rear last year through very clumsy riding of a rock garden. The impact would have trashed an aluminium rim too. The tyre didn't lose any pressure and the wheel stayed true so I was able to ride the 3 miles back to the car without issue.
Superstar replaced the rim under warranty and I had my wheel back within the week.
If they still made them in 27.5 I'd happily buy another set now!

Here. C18-104, and 105, on the second page. £175 a pair, less 30% - it's actually £122.50 for the pair.
I assume that they're the same rims as these.
