Kneepads - use some 661 D30 whatever they are - full chunky protection and quite bulky. Still want some decent level of protection, but a bit more slimline. Any reccommendations?
Gloves - as predicted by others, the Endura Singletracks which at first (and a good few after) wears were decent, have pulled apart at the wrist. What's a decnt summer glove with a bit of protection.
Gather this has been asked a thousand times, but until STW Towers sort out the search function things are gonna get repeated.

IXS Flow Evo+ kneepads, perfect for summer - though I wear them all year TBH.
On this topic- any recommendations for bramble proof gloves?
It's peak bramble soon near me. I've trimmed some trails but can't do them all.
+1 on the IXS Flow EVO kneepads for all year use (kneepads are for life, not just for Christmas summer)
Troy Lee Air gloves. Light enough but also robust enough IME.
Leatt gloves are nice and lightweight and my last pair lasted me a good year.
I've got IXS Carve kneepads which tbh are fine for all day rides, but if you wanted something lighter and more breathable I also use the IXS Flow Light knee pads, they've still got the D30 knee armour but in a lightweight sleeve. Dead comfy.

I really rate my rapha trail knee pads. Not cheap but they are comfy.
A second shout out for the rapha pads. Very comfy, don't notice them riding, don't think I'll be going back to my 661 or POC pads which are way more chunky. Wish they made a matching set of elbow pads as well.
Troy Lee Speed Knee Sleeves are really comfy, don't really notice wearing them after a few minutes.
