[#2748014]

About last July I was forced to put Swampthings on my bike due to our glorious "summer" last year and they remained on since then until two weeks ago when I tempted fate and swapped them for some nice, fast rolling summer tires.

I managed three whole rides on them before putting the swampys back on last night ๐Ÿ™

I was out on my Intense System 2's for the first time this year last night.

Wish I'd put them on a month ago, I'd forgotten how fast they accelearate.

I've left more mud suitable tyres on other bikes for now...

Right BoardinBob! So its your fault is it? I'd appreciate it if you'd kindly keep the swamp things on for the next few months please. And give us all ample warning if you intend to remove them

I've just ditched a worn racing ralph on the rear of one bike for an equally smooth Crossmark. Plenty dry enough in Edinburgh for that. Even a few showers this week seem to have left the trails dry and fast.

Where are you riding OP? The Somme?

I must be the exception, I left mountain king/race king combo on the mojo all winter. Wasn't a good winter, mostly spent sideways. Enjoying things now though! in fact been enjoying things since March.

boardingbob - you need to move to the land of school run 4x4 - Surrey. You could have got away with semi-slicks for most of the last month. It's about as dry as I've every seen it. Expect to see news stories of South East droughts soon on the news.

I rode at Brefcha last weekend and there were puddles! My feet got wet.

Bollox!! Shorts, sweat vest and light top and I am baking.... even at 7am, also fingerless gloves. Might not be short sleeve weather yet, but believe me, it is far better than November! Even the rain has a slightly above freezing, refreshness to it.

Keep those SwampThings on..... you will need then for the great wee new trail down from Mugdock!

Yeah those hailstones were pretty biblical. They were rolling in waves down Alexandra Parade.

The ground is still reasonably hardpacked here in S Wales. No need for mud tyres.

The rain only seems to arrive in a biblical way EVERY SINGLE TIME I STEP OUT OF THE DOOR.

In between it seems quite nice....
