Ok - so annoyingly my lovely Kinesis XC120 frame that I bought on here a year ago broke. Got hold of the original owner, hasn't got any paperwork remaining, so have no proof of purchase. After contacting Kinesis they have come back to me saying they can offer me a 25% discount on a new bike or a deal on a seconds frame. Going to wait out to see what they offer. However seeing as it looks like I am going to have to pay out for a new frame whatever was wondering what else was on the market.
At present the bike was set up as a lightweight commuter - carbon forks, 700c wheels and it worked well.
Anyone got any suggestions on other frames - interested in on-one scandal - potentially interested in 29er frames as the rigid forks i have are 29ers.
I am about 17 stone so still considering the 29er inbred option as well although a lot heavier than a scandal...

Is the new frame just going to be used for commuting or also run as a mountain bike sometimes? If the former then what about a Roadrat?
prob both - what i should have explained - i have it set up geared with the 700c wheels but wish to make it a geared 29er for off road as appropriate so want a good frame that will take my weight both on and off road that will take a 29er 2.2/2.2 wheel.
