Thinking about possibly taking a small group of 16 - 18 year olds from the BB on an overnight mountain bike trip. Any ideas for trails and overnight accommodation please ? Preferably not too far from Glasgow, eg Loch Lomond, Trossachs, Kinlochleven, Glencoe, Perthshire ? or anything else you can think of in southern Scotland. Not too far from the beaten track due to age, not dangerous and probably around 3 - 5 hours cycling per day ?

We stayed at the Youth Hostel at the end of Glen Affric a few weeks ago. Its about 1.5 hours from the car park so wouldn't be too hard to extend that a bit. Might be a bit further than you want to go. How about something round Aviemore, easy to find something there to tick all your boxes. Youth Hostel at Broadmeadows just off the Southern Upland Way. Or we stayed at a hostel at Wanlockhead, you could start at or near Drumlanrig and stay at the hostel.
Thanks Steven. Hadn't thought about Glen Affirc though it's a bit further away than we were hoping. I know Aviemore/Coylumbridge/ Glenmore/Carngorms well but again furthher away. Will have a look at Drumlanrig.
