Anything else worth a look? Thinking about getting a turbo, had one years ago but small flat and the dullness of the whole affair meant I sold it. Now have a garage and potentially motivation

The Sufferfest have a number of videos to choose from, easy to follow and time fly's, they are as hard as you make them, I actually enjoy it! I have also got a Spinnervals DVD but much prefer the 'fest video's

Regardless of location the boredom will still be the same.

Buy a decent set of lights, waterproofs and hosepipe instead, will probabaly cost about the same anyway.

ideally sofatester i'd do that but time is the critical issue and seems to be general consensus that turbo is short, sharp but effective. Don't get me wrong i'll try get out for playing when I can but thinking of doing another middle distance tri next year and i know from this year time is my biggest enemy

EDIT: meehaja fire me an email, my bro was going to buy one to try it but i reckon he wont like it so was going to offer to buy it from him if that turns out to be the case

hav'nt tried sufferfest but i like the spinervals ones. there's a danish guy selling some cheap on ebay right now.

in the winter i think trainers are excellent, i would'nt substitute a nice day outdoor sesh but when its howling, dark, cold and miserable... and especially if you've only got an hour in between having to take out/collect kids etc... shove in a dvd and get on with it.

A valid point fontmoss.

Unfortunately turbo training if done properly is excellent.

Still, nothing beats the feeling you get after a few hours in the hills with nothing but a can of light for company!

I use sufferfest 'angles' 2/3 times in the week over winter. Hard work but an hour goes quickly and easily, which means making myself do it is not a problem. I've 'The Hunted' too which I use occasionaly. I recommend them.
