[#1432907]

Just a reminder:
Meeting at the Amsterdam, Shoreham By Sea, Sat 3rd April.
9.45 for 10:00am start. 25-30 miles, couple of tough climbs, as much singletrack as possible. 3-4 hours I guess depending on the mechanical/puncture count. Choice of pubs for post ride food and drink.

bunnerscj - not sure, it would be handy if anyone who thinks they might make it could post.

Lifer - Yes, start and finish in Shoreham. The station is only a couple of minutes away for those who wish to partake of a post ride tipple.

I will try to make it over , either by train or car, depending on engineering works and work / family commitments

Not me.

I'll be riding the Quest Adventures ride from Quest Adventures in Broadwater, Worthing with Hummerlicious which starts at the same time as your ride. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We may well bump in to you out on the downs, if not hope everyone has fun. ๐Ÿ˜›

Two questions;

1) is this still happening?

2) anyone been out in the last couple of days - is it as bad as I think it's going to be?

still planning on going but nervous about conditions. Or is the Quest one a better bet? decisions, decisions.

Yep it`s still happening. I have an alternate route which keeps away from the muddiest bits. Means a little bit of tarmac but also some tracks that most will not have been up/dowm before. Last night it was muddy but not too bad. Rain on its way today though so will most likely go with the new route. Still starts and (most importantly)finishes at the Amsterdam/Red Lion.

wwaswas - I'm sure you'll have fun which ever ride you decide to go on. ๐Ÿ˜›

It really boils down to what your going to fancy after the ride, beer or coffee & cake. ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'll do the Amsterdam one but probably won't hang around for beer afterwards, tbh.

I'll be on a singlespeed so hopefully won't slow everyone down too much on the road bits.

4 of us braved the sunshine and had a ride of all sorts around Shoreham.
Steep climbs, claggy mud, irate old women, greasy chalk,Sketchy decents, puddles. . I think you get the picture.
My legs felt abit stiff this morning, must be the hills

Thanks to Kevin for guiding , good fun.
Shame not more turned out. Not 1 drop of rain all day.
