Give us a clue to what route your have in mind?

Out and along the Lake side, over to Near Sawrey, along to Far Sawrey and up Claife, down to Hawkshead for coffee. Then along to Iron Keld, Tilberthwaite/Langdale and Loughrigg to finish. Hows that for a route??

GaVgAs - The only "extreme" thing about KMB Tuesday night riders is the amount of time spent in the pub compared with time on the bike!
We may send a group down to scratch their chins and whinge about the route choice though โ—

Well yes.Its all in there, but not neceserlly in that order!..and I will be adding quite a bit.

I do tend to make the route up as the day develops, but I also like to do trails in the right direction,The MBR lakes route does Iron Keld in reverse! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

They do seem to attract the "I can do it the hard way" types โ—

I will be a no show I am afraid, I've been to the Physio this evening from an ongoing issue which I thought might have been a knee problem but luckily at lest I think luckily, I have tendonitis in one of my thigh muscles, so had some ultrasound treatment and need to rest it only doing light exercise, I did ask but she felt that 20 miles in the Lakes didn't fit that. ๐Ÿ™

I'll be back though it needs sorting as the pain has been stopping me sleeping some nights but fixing it will be ace and am looking forward to getting back to full strength ๐Ÿ™‚

Have fun on the trails and post some pictures so I can see what I missed.

Tony & co - I'm planning on getting over for this one, confrimation on Saturday as I'm hoping a friend of mine can come as well.

Think the meeting point may be mobbed with cars so will probably park in town and ride to it. Is it possible to have a contact phone number in case of getting lost or running a smidge late ??

Also, i can't seem to view the map link with the meeting point shown, could someone re-post it please.

Cheers.

Steel..

Meeting point here :-
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=336545&y=503335&z=115&sv=336545,503335&st=4&ar=y&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf&dn=839&ax=336545&ay=503335&lm=0

It is a fairly small car park.

However, unless your going to be early then I would suggest parking here :-

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=337100&y=504172&z=115&sv=337100,504172&st=4&ar=y&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf&dn=839&ax=337100&ay=504172&lm=0

Plenty of spaces along the side of the river.

Feeling dog rough today, starting with a cold I think.

Gav - can you text your number to me: 07896368351. I'm still trying to persuade the friend I said I'd ride with on Sunday that he needs to come to Ambleside instead; but should be there ๐Ÿ™‚

Lowey I have a postcode that should be very cloase to that second suggestion, the riverside parking, that should help those of us relying on Sat Nav - LA22 9LJ.

Bit last minute but can anyone suggest any decent bike freindly b&b's in or near Ambleside for Saturday night? Just found out the one I usually go to (Meadowbank -highly recommended by the way) is closed and YHA Ambleside is too. Secure bike storage prefferable. I know there's loads in Ambleside but a few names would help. Hope to see you all on sunday.

I have a lift from the-artist-formerly-known-as-Marin-maketh-the-man-who-now-rides-a-proper-bike ๐Ÿ™‚

so now anyone who thinks I'm a disruptive influence can throw their teddies out of the pram and sulk ๐Ÿ™‚
