Do hybrids count, and does it have to be all offroad?

I'll have a crack, though most of that months mileage will be tuggin a trailer about the SW.

Perhaps have a challenge.
Most ascent and mileage draggin' an extra 5 stone with skinny legs.

hustler - for me the only cycling i dont put on as mtb'ing is road riding on my road bike. my regular mtb rides all include a bit of a road ride to get there anyway.

I don't make the rules. I can't remember who started the first challenge in January, I just start a new one every month.
I'd say a hybrid is near enough a mountain bike.
We've discussed the "How much off road ?" question before and not agreed on a definitive answer yet.
As long a s a good proportion of the ride is off road, that should be good enough.
