The triad shock needs a refurb so I am looking to upgrade but unsure what size I need. I have a 2008 frame, the one with the shock through the frame, and do I need a 190 or 200 x 50 or 51?

Also what bushings should I replace when I change shocks? Looking at fitting a RP23

Is it a custome length one, mine was on an 2005 stumpy. 196.9mmi think.
It was a headache changing to a rp23 but alot better once fitted .
Measure your eye to eye

Assuming it's the same as I replaced on my 2008 StumpJumper Comp, it's an unusual length but has come as standard on the RP23s for the last couple of years. You need a 184/44 shock. Edit - you can download the manual with the shock specs from the Specialized site - or drop me an email (address in profile) and I can send it to you.

I bought from TFTuned - clicky and they sorted the right spacers etc.

Sorry i should have added a bit more. i have found that the standard shock is 7.25 x 1.75 but I am looking to change it for the more popular size of 7.5 x 2.0, I am aware that this will increase the rear travel slightly. But does that work out to be 190 or 200 x 50 or 51? Far too many shocks out there ๐Ÿ˜•

The geometry will be all to pot too..
7.5 equates to 190.5mm (inches x 2.54)

08 doesnt have a shock that goes through the frame.

Upto 07 was the frame that had the shock that went through it.
