Why is the Stumpjumper so much more expensive?
Better materials, lighter frame?

Don't know but the Spesh is heavier by almost 200g.
As someone once said to me 'people don't aspire to own Giants' So I guess Giant will keep knocking out superior quality frames at a price people will pay i.e label the same old frame as Colnago and you'd probably have to part with £1200.
The above is the very reason I like Giants.

No idea why the price difference but I can vouch for the GIANT XTC frame - mine is superb.

I bought mine as a complete bike and I've covered over 2000 miles on it. I've owned it for 4 years or so now, replaced the rear wheel and running gear but have NEVER considered replacing the frame. It does everything I need a hardtail mountain bike to do.
