Hi chaps,

I'm after some strong and stiff rims that aren't bonkers heavy.

I'm coming off carbon 29er rims and don't really want to spend another £250 on rims, I'd rather be half of that.

I'm thinking...

Flow Ex
WtB KOM i25
DT Swiss Ex1501

What else should I be considering?

Cheers

Ricks

I haven't used the KOM but I've been well impressed by other recent WTB rims, the i25 Frequency is maybe a bit porky for you but it's a fantastic rim, and my Strykers are ridiculously tough for the weight.

KOM i25 on my new wheels seem good so far under my 14.5 stone. Built up on revs too some nice, light and seem strong.

Frequencies seem good on my old man's g150, taken a good hammering without a ding or a burp. koms are lighter and not as beefy a quick google would suggest.
My EX471s are amazeballs though, not had a proper beating yet but impressed so far, they're the ex1501 rim

+1 for WTB. I've got the frequency i23 and they've had a fair old battering. I've replaced two spokes in 18months - both my fault as I got a large rock stuck in the spokes at speed.

Also got hopetech enduros on another bike and really impressed with them.

Have WTB St i23 29 rims on Hope Pro II evo hubs, can't fault them and I love the Hope hubs noise.

But, less strong as a result. Always a balance
