ive got 1 out no problem, the other allen key headed just stripped as it tried to slacken off, i then got a newer set of allen keys thinking it will grip it better but nothing ๐
i then continued to hit and whack at the thing trying to make a new indent with a flat blade screwdriver and to no avail, just wont connect...
ive tried torx keys, flat, philips, slightly bigger allen keys to no avail...
luckily its not the end of the world, as its firmly in (so isnt going to need anything doing to it as such), and the other one comes out fine and screws in fine....
as i say i dont really need to remove it, and if it the mech hanger comes off in a crash etc then im guessing the mech hanger bolts will fly off anyways...
so is there another way of getting it out without a drill, or shall i just leave it there any foget about it?
cut a slot in the head with a hacksaw and turn with a screwdriver? or is it a countersunk bolt? Impact driver with whatever you can get to fit the now mashed hole best?
impossible to cut into the head of it with a saw as its level/parrallel to the frame edge....
whats an impact driver? ๐ณ
would prefer to get it out if possible, but as its clearly been in the for donkeys untouched its not gonna stop me going out etc...
ive got a spare mech hanger and bolts at worst if it goes tits up, but i dont have a drill
mpact driver - a type of screwdriver that you thwack with a hammer that both drives the tool into the bolt and shocks it to start it moving. You need something that is a decent fit in the bolt tho

not sure i really wanna be whacking things into hard as its still attached to the frame, and the original allen key head was only 2mm, so its a huge screw/bolt
guessing drilling into the head with 2.5mm or 3mm drill bit may help dislodge it?
i know the lbs will sort me but its a hassle taking it in, was hoping somebody has done something similar and bodged a way of getting one out
