[Closed] String spokes? What’s the deal & Where’s building them

Looking at weight and comfort string spokes seem to offer the ultimate in light weight and ultra comfort. Even if they are £7 each

I own a few pairs of DT240 hubs currently on DT XM rims. Never fancied carbon rims mainly due to the harshness on a hardtail. But that aluminium combo with string spokes is cheaper than reserve carbon rims, lighter and seems to offer better comfort.

Only ever seen Tom Howard with them?

Wherever you get to build them, get a price up front, I really can’t stress that enough.

Stif did mine, was the first time they’d done them.
Zed wheels does them too

Really intrigues me, I was very tempted to try it on the wheel I'm just building for the enduro bike but chickened out. Interesting to see how it works longterm and if anyone else follows them
