Following if from a conversation in the Pub on the MNPR do, how much milage have you done on strava and whats your biggest climb this year.
i am currently on 1078 off road miles
and a biggest climb of 2,694 ft
so roadies need to apply I am only interested in off road marlarky!
Not mileage related owing to our first baby arriving in the summer, but I did set the fifth fastest daily time (out of 50-ish riders) on a fairly technical section at Swinley yesterday.
Not at all remarkable, except that I rode it after dark with not-so-great lights.
I was quite pleased....
Where did you find a 2700ft off road climb?!
Not sure what my biggest off road was, i'd guess around 1000ft.
Also not sure my exact mtb mileage as i don't keep record of road/mtb split, but reckon around 1500ish.
snowdon!
279km - about 7 rides, one of them was a commute, 2016 can do one
1300km total and biggest climb was 806m which could well be a lift assisted climb in the Alps.
My only goal now is to delete it on New Years Day and never use it again. It's no good for me.
2317.5 miles / 3730 km total distance (some road, but mainly of road cx, xc, enduro type riding)
2181ft / 665 metres largest climb (snowdon)
in numbers, as best as i can remember, biggest uphill segment 2700ft, but wasn't the whole climb. longest mtb ride 90miles. mtb has done a bit over 1000miles this year and the road bike 5500 miles. Longest road ride was c130miles. Total climbing across bikes is 400000ft,
A bit over 4000km on mountain bikes. Biggest climb Helvellyn at something like 750m.
Most descending in one day 2800m at Bike Park Wales.
2235 ft was my longest "continuous" off-road climb but pretty much all my riding this year has been on the road (3,598 total miles though, most ever in a year)
Strava says three half thousand mile off road but I've done more like 4 thousand and about 2 thousand commuting on top of that can't be bothered logging them most of the time as I don't take strava seriously biggest climb 1000 ft
According to veloviewer:

I work with a pro level IronMan triathlete and we asked her for her training stats for just this year.....
10,585km
Running, swimming, and cycling training Km covered (equivalent to traveling from LA to NY, back again, and then one-third across the US again!)
92,846m
Elevation gain (equivalent to climbing Everest 10.5 times....in a single year)
463 training sessions logged
I'm chuffed if I manage a 12 mile round trip commute a few times a week ๐
Good stats there jam bo where do you ride
[quote=robbo76 ]Good stats there jam bo where do you ride
Thats 95% dartmoor .
Absolutely dire year. Roughly 500km and max single climb about 125m (stats from Endomondo scaled up a bit for rides not logged)
3281miles / 335,000ft descending (approx 100,000ft has been uplifted). Biggest climb is 900ft.
Won't be riding again until late January, big off at BPW on Monday, buggered shoulder again few weeks recovery fingers crossed
Less than 700km on the MTB this year.
1391km on the road.
8234km of commuting.
I'm over my 10k (just) despite currently sporting a fractured pelvis that's to a stupid pedestrian.
92,846m
Elevation gain (equivalent to climbing Everest 10.5 times....in a single year)
Thats not that massive I got to 154K m and I qualify that as I don't get too ride enough anymore had 240K m in 2014 work took its toll
This kind of sums up Strava, it seems to be just a chest thumping app for how many miles, how far you have climbed, how many segments, KOM's etc. I think I am in a minority but I find it all a bit naff.
0 km
0 m elevation
0 KoM
did a little better in endomondo and polar flow though
10,400k and 192,000m for the year so far. Biggest climb was 1880m in the Pyrenees this summer. Longest ride 299.6km/8300m on the last 'day'of the HT550.
I've ridden 1200km on road this year the rest is Mtb
Despite breaking my collarbone on June 1st, for this year to date:
Activity count: 101
Total dist: 2,400 km
Total elev: 63,838 m (disregard as this counts van assisted rides)
Total time: 197:22:36

thanks for coming onto strava thread to tell us.
... and there's 10 days of 'this year' left.
According to Strava, which I think is about right, and all off road,
100 rides (which I'm very happy about :))
1,251 miles
213,000 ft elevation (around 30,000ish uplifted)
186 hours total time
The most climbing in one ride was 7,300 ft (at the glentress 7), but the biggest single climb was probably 1,500 ft or so.
YTD overall
Distance 3,518.8 km
Time 249h 59m
Elev Gain 85,434 m
Rides 217
Rough breakdown
MTB/Road
2685/883KM
Though still over a week to go and it should hopefully get me a bit closer to the 4K Km mark
99 rides
2811 km
80469 m climbing
No idea what biggest climb this year was. Probably something local like Pen-y-fan which was 620m in a single climb
142 rides
229hrs 51mins
1752miles 2803km
199554m climbed
So far this year about 20 miles on road, missing my off road target of 2000 miles by the look of it.
Hmmm no split between off road and on road but
59 rides
10,352km
162,718m elevation
don't log daily commutes but that would add over 250km a week
longest day in the saddle would have been a 600km audax
220 rides
3893 miles
Climb: 1342ft
Hoping to get close to 4k miles by the end of the year
rOcKeTdOg - MemberClimb: 1342ft
Typo?
according to Strava
Activities - 182
Distance - 5368km
Meters climbed - 147,067
Biggest climb - 635m (not sure where that is though, could be Snowdon, The Drum, somewhere in The Lakes or Scotland)
No idea on 2nd, 3rd, 4th's etc as can't see that info on Strava. I did claim 19 KOM's throughout the year though
Prob only done a couple hundred Km on the road bike, if that, the rest is on the Mtb and no commuting or linking 3-5km or trails with 25km of road just to get the distance in
Hope to pass 5.5k km and 150k meters climbed by the end of the year
Rough off road stats
4500 km distance
52,000 M climbed
Longest ride 210k
Biggest climb 410 m
Did some big MTB/CX rides and climbs this year, endurance is the way to go for an aging cyclist I reckon ๐
so roadies need to apply I am only interested in off road marlarky!
given you've clearly stated you are happy for road posts ๐
6573 miles
5995ft the longest single climb (Stelvio)
and to make you feel better, 6 KOMS, all offroad.
Smurf, one of the guys in my roadie club who lives and works in London i.e. isn't a full time athlete has ridden 12,100 miles this year ๐ฏ
425 miles on the full sus mountain bike, though 200 of that was a coast to coast. Can't see the elevation for that bike in the app?
Mostly just do trail centres. Use my cx for natural off roading.
Did 1858 miles on the cx bike and got a KOM on a road downhill
11,728 miles
847,343 feet climbing
mostly on a single speed
According to Strava:
Distance 8,945.0 km
Elev Gain 126,788 m
Rides 258
I noted the distance I'd ridden each bike at the end of last year and the difference to date works out very roughly at 35% MTB/35% commuter/30% road. Not sure of the biggest single climb but the single day's ride with most climbing will have been the BB200 with 4700 metres of climbing.
Biggest climb this year 1034 m
And as it stands im on 1920 kms aim to get to 2k before new years day
Total climb for the year 48930m
Not bad over 71 rides not inc the 4 mile commute every day
713 off road miles
88000 feet climbed
Total for the year
Distance - 8,751.2 mi
Time - 583h 58m
Elev Gain - 495,322 ft
Rides - 456
Of which is off road
14 rides totalling about 150 miles ish ๐ณ
I do think of myself as an MTBer that rides to work. Although I appear to be a professional commuter that on the odd occasion goes for an MTB ride.

When you opened a thread with the title "strava bragging" did it come as a surprise to you that it was about what people have done on strava?
To answer, I have had a quieter year on the bike this year and done a bit more running.
2120 miles, about half on the MTB and half on road.
135k feet climbed
480 miles run, about 450 of these offroad.
I obviously need to get out more.
