Already been done?

Aussie MP suggests using Strava to track and take action against speeding cyclists. Would make KOM a bit less tempting...

That wouldn't stick, they couldn't prove any sort of calibration.

haha - it's so accurate I managed to get approximately mach 1 uphill on a residential street on my MTB. gimme a ticket. that would be ace to defend in court.

hope mapmyrun isn't admissable evidence either. I have one there that is 320km/h on a gravel track. have posted that plot on here before.

Why would an Australian MP have any say in UK speeding laws?

Yup.
As I wrote above, you can be done for speeding in a Royal Park. They're not public roads.

As a bicycle doesnt legally have to be fitted with a speedometer, i am not sure how you are meant to ensure you are not speeding. So find it hard to believe any such charge could possibly stand up ti scrutiny in court.

I'll file this under the stupid MP saying don't bag poo just flick it in the bushes.

Great i predict swimming through poo in city parks
