Congratulations. You managed to use google to find a picture of a ginger kid. Now try again using the words Twofish blocks.

I have a similar torch wrapped in the fuzzy side of sticky velcro with the non-fuzzy side stuck to the helmet; works a treat, easily removable, won't snap my head off if it hits a tree etcetera.

I have one of those, fits fine in an exposure mount, although the mount costs more than the light!

Good for them.

DX's are about $3 from memory.

Depending on your lid, we use those rubber wrist bands to hook over one end of the torch, through the skeleton of the helmet, back over the other end of the torch.
Not forgetting to use a bit of old inner tube as a sleeve to go over the torch so it doesn't scratch your lid.
This also helps to prevent the torch from slipping about.

Works well for me, keeps the torch flat to the lid and no bracket required.

Get a can of Zefal tyre sealant.
[img] [/img]

It comes with a velcro strap and a moulded rubber piece to allow you to strap the can to your frame. This works perfectly as a torch helmet-mount.

Then throw the sealant away, its useless.

there's a product which is perfect for what you're looking for. it's a little rubber block with two bits of Velcro attaching the light to your helmet. now if only I could remember what it was called...

ebay "lock block" they're about a quid from china. Or 8 quid if you buy the Twofish branded one.

3M Dual lock, like a cross between velcro and sticklebricks. Amazing stuff.

there are two types and it all depends on what it will attach to on your lid. I have the opposite of this type so the two cradles are facing the same way.
I can't say about the ebay ones but mine was cheap enough and arrived in a few days

I don't rate lockblocks they wobble far too much for my liking.

My lid, yesterday (ish)

Doesn't really have a central 'strut' as such

A long shoelace or two should do the trick. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The one on the left will fit around either of the two rear struts. it won't be central but the beam should be nigh on. plus you can use the curve of the strut to help angle the beam prior to fixing it tight

You're stuck with the patch on your head though, which sucks if you've got a pretty helmet.

Those Twofish (or whatever) blocks are crap.
Put them on the bars for a real laugh ๐Ÿ™„
Velcro strap through the vents or ty-wrap on a bit of rubber at an angle that works.

Same torch as you OP (but not same helmet)... Ive always used these with success on varying helmets:
[img] [/img]

...you may just have to run it offset slightly if your helmet doesn't have a central strutt but doubt you'll notice in use

Not crap IMHO, but they could do with rubberising the back of the strap because they do tend to slip round the bars when wet.
