These have been the single most disappointing bike purchase ever for me, took me ages to save up for them, went for them as they are meant to be easily servicable and super durable. After 3 months of use, there is craploads of up and down play, changed the nylon washers like they recommended and it improved it but didnt fix it, now two weeks laters they are as bad as ever.

Do I really need to change the bushes so soon? and why does the service kit include all the non wear metal bits that I dont need to replace.

Anybody had similar problems, I have emailed straitline 3 times but had no response whatsoever.

A mate had similar experiences. Pedalling wears them out, apparently!

Thats just how Straitlines are, its not ideal, but it gets to a point where it doesnt get any worse.

If you want a silent bike with no wibbly bits they arent for you. However, if you couldnt give a sausage about noise and want some grippy, bombproof pedals theyre pretty much perfect.

so, more overpriced, overhyped colourful crap that works worse than a v8 copy...how old are they? I would send them back.

Right, well thats allright then, as long as they are working as designed.

Are they serious, these are £100 pedals and they dont inspire confidence when they squirm under my feet. As I say seriously dissapointing when they are marketed as designed for durability.

Been there and bought that: Straitline Pedal Long Term Review

Sorry, it doesn't help you now though 🙁 They're great pedals, just not for pedalling with. Really nice company though if you ever speak to them.

Edit: I'm probably the mate above!

I thought they were considerably better than a V8 copy....

Its only a bit of play, in the scheme of things, not the end of the world is it?

I sold mine as I was happy with my old Easton Flatboys.

No, its not the end of the world, and I would maybe accept it at a lower price point, however these to me anyway, are really expensive pedals that people rave about, they replaced a pair of no name pedals that lasted 4 years of pedaling with no perceptible play whatsoever.

Doug, maybe you can enlighten me on how to contact these engineering geniuses as my attempts at contacting using email has resulted in not one reply.
