Heading to Tignes this summer and drive from Leicester means it's probably not quite do-able in a day with 2 young-ish kids in the back.
Does anyone have a recommendation for accommodation with secure bike storage (we will have 2x MTBs and 2x Kids bikes on the roof) either just on this side of the channel near Eurotunnel or on the other side probably a bit outside of Calais heading down the A26?

Montreuil is a bonny wee town far enough into the Pas de Calais to be away from the 'Jungle' area yet handy for the Eurotunnel & the A26.
I've stayed in a Logis in the town square, with the car full of bikes parked right below the window. Properly French.

Folkestone Holiday Inn? It's 2 minutes from the tunnel.
Dartford holiday inn? Or the first set of cheap hotels out of calais, book a spare room for the bikes 😉 I think the F1 is automated in the evenings so just take the bikes off the roof too the room.
