Just wondered if anyone has a Mk2 Stooge and compared it to a Mk1 Singular Swift?

Don't get me wrong I really enjoy my Swift I've had this one since 2010 (had the orange one before) and just fancy a change... I want to stick with Steel but fancy having the option to run a + tyre, I'm running 2.4's on the Swift atm.

I'm just a tart really and fancy a pick Stooge with their lovely crossbars...

Didn't know how they compared? From what I found the Stooge is slightly heavier and had slightly more aggressive geometry?
The other plan is to stick with a Swift and build a 27.5/650+ build...

Turn your back for 5 mins in this bike game and everything changes....

Cheers, Steve

Can't comment on the stooge but the Swift in b+ does work really well.

Thanks Nemesis good to know, seems the most cost effective way to go as the Swift is a stonking frame!

check with Sam, but I don't think 650+ 3" tyres will fit in a mk1

Looks like I'm out of luck, just taking to Sam on FB, looks like as mine has a straight chain stay a 650B+ wont fit ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

O'well 2.4 until I damage the frame then...

I have a mk1 Swift and a mk1 Stooge. They are quite different and I love them both. The Swift is swift and the Stooge is ridiculously capable for a rigid bike. The only sensible thing to do is keep the Swift and get a Stooge to complement it. You won't regret it, I promise. ๐Ÿ˜€

I've just put a Krampus fork and a 3.0 Knard on the front of the Swift as an experiment. I'm loving it.

Read that thread I linked. Mine is a Mk1. It does fit fine with certain caveats about maximum rim and tyre sizes but IMO it's sufficiently plus to get the benefits.

Why didn't you put the plus compatible new swift fork in there?

Oh yes, it's worth noting that I do have the latest fork on my mk1 swift frame.
