Hi all,

Overnight 22/23 September my garage at Frenchay, Bristol, was broken into through the back door. We have lost:

Dawes Edge 1, black singlespeed. Frame no. J204C0986
Genesis Core 10 (09) white. Egg beater pedals, black velcro chain guard and crud catcher. Frame no. FTMTJ175. A little over a year old so some damage/markings on the frame.
Planet X Nanolight. Black, SRAM Force/Planet X/FSA components. Just a few months old and only minor marks on the frame if you know where to look.

Photos of two here:

Please be vigilant and ensure you lock your prized toys securely, even if they within a locked building. We think we were targeted having been followed home - 2 singlespeed roadbikes and similar value in kayaks were ignored.

Will keep my eyes peeled in Filton! might be worth a trip to Southmead police as they have a pretty on-the-ball cycle crime outfit...

Thanks - I've reported it on all the forums I can find/think of as well plus LBSs (Evans, Mud-dock, Bike, Bike Workshop, Bike-Science) and the local clubs (AOAC, Severn Road, South Bristol, CTC).

My only real hope is the PX is quite distinctive and uncommon so any kids on one will look totally out of place and get challenged. The PX also had egg-beaters on so hopefully they'll give up trying to ride it. But I suspect it'll be moved onto someone who knows what is what.
