A friend has just had his bike stolen from the roof of his car this evening in Edinburgh (it was locked on a thule 951 I believe). It's a pretty recognizable bike - covered in orange anodized bling/parts - pretty standard apart from a sentimental charge saddle. Will update once I get more info from him but he's extremely gutted. Please keep an eye out.
Thanks for posting, mate!
Grrrrrr!
Everything standard other than:
- Renthal FatBar carbon handlebars (800 mm)
- Ergon GA2 Grips (black)
- Charge leather saddle (old but in good condition – small nick to the leather at the top back right side, fits only one bum)
- HT X1 clipless pedals (black)
- Lezyne Flow Bottle Cage Side Load Right side (black)
- Marsh Guard front fork mud guard (black)
Hope you find it.
I know this is litte help for you now but the little locks on thule and other carriers are not suitable for securing a bike for any length of time even the addition of a £10 cable lock and a padlock will make it 10 times more secure.
