What am I missing? Fitting a new Deore Bb and chainset.
With the C/S axle through but no LHS crank on it all seems a bit stiff. Used to SRAM and Campag but haven't fitted an all new set up for ages.
A firm 1 finger flick allows to crank to spin about 1 or 1.5 revolutions before its stops. Am I expecting a bit too much from a new set up and will it bed in?

Yep.
Sounds about right to me too. Might spin a touch more with both on but not much more. As long as it feels smooth with no high spots then all sounds right.

The GXP one I fitted the other day spun for ever. Probably why the crap things don't last very long.
