[#1552652]

seems to be getting worse and worse I need to do something about it.
So what do I do?

Wheel and pads out, coax said sticky piston out (not fully), in, out, in out...
clean, with what?
and lube with what?

I read on here recently wd40 gt85 will make the seals swell
so what's best?

I clean the edge of the piston with disc brake cleaner (muck off do a big can) or IPA or meths and use an old toothbrush to get right around it, then push piston back in and repeat until no more muck shows on the piston edges. does seem to do the trick if they get a bit sticky.

i used go kart disc cleaner (probably too strong/ oil based) and it wrecked my shimano seals; hence my suggestion of the oil.

I found that i had to ease the pistonback into use.

held the opposite side in and pumped the lever to get the sticky side out, gave it a clean and a lube. pushed them back in and repeated. was better but not fixed; rode it for a few hours and repeated and it seemed to come back to life.

All good advice but be prepared, this will happen again! However if use the various dodges recommended above you will be able to sort it unlike some other brands of brakes I could mention, oh! alright I will mention-Formulas.
