So the bike has been in the shed for a few months and when I took it out tonight the wheels and cranks feel very sticky, so much so that instead of riding it its been in the stand for the last 4 hours. Anyone ever had this problem or anything similar? I'm at a loss here.

Mine does that if i don't ride it regularly!

The grease in your BB and hubs has been replaced with muck and this has dried out and bunged your bearings up.
Time to strip and lube me thinks 😯
