Anyone else have problems with Avid brakes sticking on ? My rear brake stuck so much on Sunday my whole frame was vibrating. Fortunately pushing the pistons fully back half way round the ride sorted it.

I often have a problem with new pads which seems to be helped by pushing each piston well out and cleaning and lubing with GT85 wich is not something I have ever had to do with Shimano or Hope.

you've probably knackered your seals using GT85.

they're designed for DOT fluid, not GT85, which can cause the rubber to swell, which makes them tight around the pistons, causing them to stick,

i've killed a set of Avid brakes myself doing more or less the same thing.

yes in the past I have used DOT fluid in a simillar circumstance but GT85 seemed more convenient to use. I guess they can be serviced and the seals changed

You can get new seals and pistons from CRC for £9.99, I've just had to do the same myself. 🙄
