All sorts of stuff out there other than Thomson (no "p")...

Easton, Raceface, FSA, Controltech, Truvativ, Kore, NukeProof, Ritchey, Sunline, Syncros, Titec... To name but a few!

Seriously though, why the aversion to Thomson? I maintain that whilst they may not be the lightest, or the cheapest, functionally their seatposts and to a lesser extent their stems, are by far and away the most durable and IMO the best...

Would agree on your comments on thomPson its good stuff would just like something different ! quite like the look of the use stem but not had much joy in the past with the seatposts, Race face like the build quality but dont like the finnish as it wears away very quickly. looking for lardy ready xc stuff.

I too wanted something a bit different from Thomson and Hope. Though my Hope stem was superb I am very impressed with my new FSA OS 115 White Stem 2009 OE, and for £28 from wiggle it's a bargain. Same as the one from chain reaction but doesn't come with any packaging. Very light and a nice carbon face plate.

If you don't want Thomson, then Hope or Sunline make good alternatives.

Please stop spelling Thomson with a P 🙂
