My Son has a full suss and a single speed... he is looking to build a hardtail but in steel... Typical rideing Cannock and North Wales.
What frame for 100-140mm with 26inch wheels?
has he got soul?
Mate there's a mint 16.5" Stanton Slackline on PB 853 version £225...yes it's straight 1 1/8th head tube but would be great, I would have genuinely brought it was it not getting a fair price on the Ti version.
I love my Inbred. I'm guessing they are still 26"! 🙂
Ragley Blue Pig
Dialled PA or Alpine. Had both, and loved both. I regret selling the PA 🙁
Already got forks and wheels? If not why not a 45650b from on one? If not that then a 456 carbon, its steel money!

But it's not steel.
No, but it is cheap tough and with a modicum of compliance

Just saying
Built up an On One 456 evo II for my son. He loves it!
I've got a large 853 PA in the loft, doing nowt.
Love my piglet. cheap s/h fun.
I recently snapped my full suss frame and bought a Cotic BFE. I love it! I have old coil pikes at 140mm and the handling feels spot on. Very confidence inspiring.
I've got an 18" PA frame I'm looking to shift.
Diawl2, sorry to hijack. You got pictures/price of your dialled PA
@tdoyle I can sort some out. It's a bit scruffy but it's straight. I downsized to a 16" 853. If I sort out some pics we can negotiate price.
Hayle Cycles had a nice Sanderson Soloist on sale in their window, I think it was done as low as £100. 18" in white.
I regularly ride a Cotic BFe round Cannock, including excursions to Stile Cop. It is a great tool for the job, I suspect a Soul might be better.

Sanderson Soloist you say? £100 you say?
Absolute bargain. Rides as well as a Mk1 Soul IMO. Single speed though. If you can get a Life 853 that would tick the geared steel hardtail box perfectly.
I run 120mm Revs on my Soloist, suits it well. It's quite long in the TT so feels bigger than the frame size suggests.
Are we on Sandersons? Love my Breath. Does everything, with a much livelier ride and 'sproing' to it.
Another vote for the 456 EVO II. I really rate mine.
