The Las Cruces is scandium.

The La Cruz is True Temper OX Platinum steel though.

it would be nice if Soma were more readily available over here - does anywhere still stock them?

Re the Soma frames, after Sorted Cycles closed its virtual bike shed Mosquito picked the brand up. Don't know if they're still doing them though.

I'd avoid a Kaffenback for CX duties. Very little tyre-clearance at the back once it gets a bit muddy.
