Are they a successful candidate for running tubeless or are they a leak-fest?

I'm using a 2.4 folding MK with true ghetto (i.e. 20" bmx tube) system and it's working absolutely fine.

Yeap they should be fine. Pro have astronger side wall, but std's will be ok

I'd say leakfest. I'm using the Protection version and they've been a complete pain in the arse to get sealed. After several days of pumping the tyres up, carefully holding the wheels horizontally and tipping the sealant around the sidewalls, and a couple of long rides, when I washed the bike there was enough air leaking through the sidewalls to create a thick foam of bubbles all round the tyre. It took about three weeks for them to seal properly.

i used supersonic 2.2 mk ghetto'd and they were great, took a couple of top ups initially but after a few days of topping up with air they did not leak. however, supersonic sidewall too thin and ripped a couple on rocks. therefore; they held air fine but dont use on rocky terrain. Probably the same for tubed version! really fast though, worth it if you ride average terrain

Used standard folding 2.4's with Stans no problems with them leaking
