Out with a young lad around Brodick on saturday night, he was riding one, and it was really good looking, I'd never heard of them tbh. Nice.

That looks ace in electric blue!

TT looks kinda short at 23" for the larger size though?

Had a quick car park spin on one the other day. Just felt right. Decent value too for an 853 frame.

I do like the look for it a lot. Any idea what diameter seat tube and head tube? Can't find it on the web site.

Not cheap for full builds are they? Are the frames fabricated here?
Look nice though.

Looks nice! Similar geometry to a Soul, fractionally slacker HA/steeper SA/shorter TT & chainstays.

The Slackline is a multipurpose Allmountain Hardcore hardtail frame

So... it's a mountain bike frame then?

Having difficulty in separating it from all the other 'hardcore hardtail all mountain long travel' frames currently on the market?

Yeah tend to look past the marketing speak on the web site. In the market for a steel hardtail and this ticks a lot of the boxes (other than having a stupid seatpost size!)

Nice, looks like they copied the Charge style decals though.

No lanky sizes.

They look good, they dont look like any of the other 'hardcore hardtail all mountain long travel' frames I've seen. They have very short stays and top tubes, so are probably great for riding jumps and larking about on. But if you got the 18" model then you could probably do some longer rides on it aswell.

Well, a 16in 853 Inbred is 4lb 9oz, and a 17in 853 Rock Lobster is 4lb 2oz.

I guess/hope it's built for beefyness rather than lightness though?

What's a Cotic BeFe weigh?

Quality. Whats a 456 carbon? Scott Scale? Santa Cruz V10?

They're completely different frames!

So it's like a soul but 25% heavier, won't climb as well due to shorter stays and with graphics from a Charge?

C456 = 1500g. Dunno about the rest.

And I know that, cleverclogs, which is why I qualified my statement afterwards by asking about the weight of a BeFe, which was as near a comparison as I could think of!
๐Ÿ™„
But they aren't really all that different are they? All standard, double diamond steel frames built out of 853..... It's only PURPOSE that differs. ๐Ÿ˜›

Go on then, tell me what's wrong with my FULL statement, it's easy to disagree with PART of a quote..... ๐Ÿ˜›

I dunno, I dunno what you mean. It doesnt look anything like an XC bike or an All mountain bike to me, no matter what they say it is. Looks alrite for jumps, 4x and downhill though.

The Slackline is a multipurpose Allmountain Hardcore hardtail frame with a strong 4X/Slalom influence to its design. It is designed to reward style while riding hard in all conditions. The tubing used to make the Slackline was chosen for its manipulative properties and excellent vibration damping.

Directional flex control is key in the Slackline's design as the frame utilises butting in specific places and carefully selected internal tubing diameters to offer a direct and controlled ride combined with mega strenth.

The snap, acceleration and berm hugging cornering comes from our low bottom bracket and short chain stays. Couple this with a tight, nimble geometry and slack angles; you have a versatile โ€œbomb proof frameโ€.

I'm sorry.... but what a load of marketing bollocks. Quite amusing how much drivel will write about stuff these days...

Yes they could do with toning that down a bit. From the numbers though it does look like it should be a great ride.
