IIRC there is a cheaper non-proprietry tape that works and doesn't ask you to bend over re. price?
I tried some reinforced stuff off ebay but it didn't stick well enough. It's for road rims & pressures.

Superstar sell some for £7.50 a roll.
I was going t try some vacuum bagging tape as it sticks to pretty much anything.
