I've been thinking I'll probably get a set of pro-built wheels (quoted just over £300). However, I've seen the S1 wheels for slightly less money, and wondered which is the sensible choice. The S1 wheels seem quite heavy, and although some reviews are generally positive, one mentions that some spokes came loose. I think the hand-built wheels might still be better, but I'm undecided!

A bit over budget but I went hand built
dt swiss xm481 on a hope pro4 hub built by ubyk. Rims are 30id strong and light.
When I got them out of the box they were arrow straight. Done around 100 miles on them now. Spoke tension perfect and rim still true.
Would 100% recommend Ubyk. Plus there is a discount for stw.
