Anyone used No Tubes and Maxxis tyres - just can't get the bugger to inflate (before I install the sealant). Oh yes - using Mavic Cross ride wheels. Tried various combinations of rim tape.

Thanks

Don't bother trying to seat the tyre you'll be there forever. Put tyre on, add sealant and a squirt of washing up liquid. Then get co2 inflator, inflate, tyre jumps onto rim, job done and that's with maxxis

He's not using 355 rims though, he's using crossrides.

Never any issues with seating Maxxis tyres here using either Stans rim strips or ghetto with a variety of Mavic and DT Swiss standard rims. I use a (not very powerful) car compressor and lots of hot soapy water. It's worked first time every time with UST, kevlar and wire bead Maxxis tyres. I only really use Maxxis tyres now.
