I’ve been using some Crest Mk3’s for a few years for XC racing on my full sus 100mm 29er but the durability of them is a bit pants. They easily go out of true and the rims crack around the spoke holes.

I try not to hammer them on the rough stuff and pick the best lines I can but living in the Peak District sometimes that’s just not possible!

So what alternative alloy rims are worth looking at? Weight is obviously a big factor and I’d like them to be stronger than the crappy crests.

Crest rims weigh 364g and width is 23mm
