Looking to buys some Stans rims on Pro 2s. The Hope Hoops deal can't be beaten but they don't offer the Arch rim which is probably ideal for my riding (I weigh 14st and ride 'aggresive XC' or whatever you want to call it). The 355s seam a bit lightweight but the Flows way too heavy duty but on balance i'm tempted to get the 355s as use my current wheels for tougher duties. What do you think?

I currently run 719s on Pro2s BTW.

I think you should get the Flows. Look at the weight of a mavic 719 and it's 460g, look at the weight of the flow and it's 470g. 10g extra and a rim that should last you as long as the hub if not longer.

Do you ride on your own or with a group. On your own does the weight of your wheels slowing you down concern you? In a group where do you ride, unless you're trailing at the back do you need to be any faster?

Never used 355's but my Flows have never let me down.

I jammed a branch in the rear one back in Jan and pringled it just a little, my LBS trued it up and it's been perfect ever since. It takes some knocks as well.

Try John @ justridingalong in Sheffield/internet for a good service and price

The other thing to keep in mind about the Flow if that you'll not find a wider rim for that weight. It gives a very nice profile to large volume tyres and actually makes them feel bigger than they are.

Unfortunately the JRA price is £100 more than the Wheelpro Hope hoops.
I can't help but be tempted by the 355s weight but chances are I would leave them on all the time and then pringle them in a rock garden.
