Looking at making my 29er rigid and wondering if the slight flex in 25.4 bars will be better for trail buzz than oversized 35.8?

I'm not expecting there to be much in it, but every little helps!

Something I may look into when funds allow, but I have the option of standard or oversized available already.

Oversized (31.8) carbon is the answer.

A smidge less air in your tyre is a cheaper answer ๐Ÿ™‚

Doesn't make a blind bit of difference in my opinion. Skinny bars look better on some bikes though.

๐Ÿ˜ณ 31.8 is what I meant. Looks like I will be going with the cheapest, easiest option of leaving it as it is then.

Small but noticeable. I have carbon forks and a 2.15 michelin front tyre (seems much bigger) and I could tell the difference between 25.4 and 31.8.

Changed the stem of course at the same time, but basic engineering makes it far more likely the bars were waggling a bit more.

Don't know if carbon will necessarily help. In general they cut a bit of buzz, but they could be built to be stiff as hell.
