[Closed] Standard crankset compatibility for Boost frames

Currently considering upgrading the groupset on my Genesis Tarn 10 and I've just realised the crankset I'll be replacing is a Shimano FC-M627-B - the B signifying boost compatibility.

Can I avail myself of tempting offers available on standard non-boost groupsets or am I going to have to build up a bespoke boosted one?

Shouldn't be an issue for a single ring application, on a boost crank the chainline is 3mm further outboard

Tyre width, 2x cranks and chainstay width can all affect your choice. Check how much clearance you currently have and imagine 3mm less.

I have a new SLX Boost crankset for sale if you're interested. No rings and it came off a new bike before being ridden.

I'm putting a Sram GX 1400 boost-specific chainset (like this) up for sale shortly, if you wanna sub some cranks into a standard groupset.

170mm arms and well marked from rocks, but functionally solid.
