Is it actually important? I barely have any, and its never given me a problem. How much have you got?

Got one bike with none and another with a couple of inches. Never caused me any trouble. The stem, on the other hand....

It only has to give you a problem once before you find it's importance:)

About an inch,never caused me any problems....Think it's more for young childrens bike set-up, like being able to touch the floor flat footed when you're sat on the saddle.....
