Thinking about getting a hardtail for over the winter. I'm a 5ft 7 girlie with long arms. have been looking at mmmbop frames but have heard standover is quite high. Anyone measured theirs? would be good to know sizings before opting for frame. Also anyone out there got an opinion on the long top tube set up and general ride? cheers ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I'm 5'7" and the 16" is perfect.

Really loving it at the moment - so much so that my "sooper-dooper" lightweight carbon Blur XC hasn't been ridden since the mmmbop arrived.

They are getting increasingly rare, so don't hang about too long before making your mind up.

Well stinkerbell - I've got a 16"in my garage and **** all to do with my evening. You just list off what you want measured!

btw - I'm 5"10. Average arms and short thighs. Suits me well! But 5"7?
I've only had it for a month with a 70mm stem. Never had a standover issue - I doubt you will either.

Only thing is a really stiff / buzzy seat post.

Thanks for that - sounds like you are loving your frames. floor to top tube measurement would be good (know it will depend on tyre size) to give me an idea. know it has 23" top tube length. Bike has slack angles but is reputed to climb fairly well...is it true?!!

thanx

My girlfriend has a 16" mmmbop and she's about 5"7/5"8 and has no problems with standover.

I'm 5"10 and I had a go on it on the weekend... it's such a hoot to ride! I didn't want to give it back for my Orange five.

Climbs great. I have Fox Talas forks on mine but I tend to leave them at 130 for everything.

Floor - through bb (vertical) to clear top tube is 76cm. That's with 145 mm forks on 2.5" tyres un-weighted.

cheers for popping out to the garage! that doesnt sound too tall - should be about right for me with 2.25 tyres and 140 fork. think the mmmbop might be the one after all...
