Just wondering if anyone here rides at Stainburn? And if so is it worth a visit? Live in Leeds so it's not far. Drove up when I lived in Sheffield and got lost looking for the place so kinda forgot about it. Just had a reminder of that fateful day (riding consisted of 30 mins on a Forrest road and getting covered in dog sh*t) and thought might be worth giving it another go....

yeah, its a fun day out. Bit icy last time I went. Top bit can get muddy and I couldn't find all the trails as there has been felling since I last rode there. The bottom bit doesn't always flow as much as I'd like, but I didn't build it so its not for me to moan.

Well worth a visit if you're local.

Thre's a dig day on Sunday if any of you fancy getting your hands dirty!

Its a very technical short trail down a hillside. Great if you want to improve your technical skills, but its not an XC trail centre type thing.

From Leeds worth a visit

Sounds worth a go but maybe not enough for a full day or asking buddies from afar to travel to?
Fully expect to get lost again, will do some web based research on how to find the damn place. Will be nice to try somewhere new.

Thanks for the vids, looks like a lot of fun, guess finding that Norwood Edge car park is the key to getting on the trails!

Awesome place, one of my favourites, I only live 20 minutes away and never get bored. I would advise some form of body protection as it can catch you out, I now wear a full face helmet as I had too many big offs jumping the boulder drop and northshore sections and I have a pretty face ๐Ÿ˜†

Sounds like there's more to it than I thought! Might well invite some mates up on the strength of these recommendations! Currently recovering from a broken leg and spending most of my time fantasising about where I'm going to ride on recovery, and this looks like a top option without a ball ache of a drive.

No pretty face here but one heavily shagged knee so might well consider padding up ๐Ÿ˜›

There's lots of good natural stuff over the road in Norwood, but that will mostly be a bog fest at the moment.
A rough trail map of the main armoured trail bits is found here (downloads) http://www.singletraction.co.uk/wp/?page_id=101
Due to the small area, it's built purposely as slow technical trail with features to play on, Warren Boulder Trail is best done with a bunch of like minded friends to encourage each other on the techy bits. The Descent Line is a bit faster but is still an XC technical trail.
