Couple of questions on this set up...

Assume I can use real rather than virtual power if I have the Stages?

And assuming the above is true...As the stages is is bluetooth and the PC is Bluetooth, do I need another blue tooth adapter/Ant adapter?

Yes, and no. The TrainerRoad software should detect your stages PM via its own Bluetooth drivers when you download the software.

Looking at the Trainerroad interface on my pc now - it will search for a Bluetooth dongle and if Stages is Bluetooth (I know its ANT+, but does it do Bluetooth as well?) then it will pick up the output from the Stages.

Once the dongle is found you just click "Pair" next to the Power Meter option (I think - I've unplugged my dongle and the options are now reduced) and it searches for a power meter signal.

I'm using ANT+ and I was surprised how it all connected so simply and first time with the Trainerroad software.

Exactly. As long as your computer has native Bluetooth Smart (4.0) you should be good to go without another dongle. Check out the below articles for more info on pairing your Stages and Bluetooth Smart.
