[Closed] St anton

Its the best apres-ski anywhere. The mooserwirt is the place to be at 5ish til dark, then slide down the last slope on a tray/your ar+e/whatever avoiding lots of very drunk people and finish off in town. It'll be absolutely packed but its still easy to get a drink. Good food on the slopes and in town. Good for touring around and taking in various scenery. If the top cable car is open then that's worth doing. The big gondola in town is an engineering marvel. Lech up the road is nice for a change, its where the royals go. Its quite low and gets slushy low down.

Party party party on the Steissbachtal, starting at the Heustadl, then the Krazy Kangaroo and then the Mooserwirt before stumbling downtown after dark. And some very fun more technical runs up the mountains and if the snow fresh, the accessible off-piste is magic.

Try riding the red/blue all the way from Schindlerkar to AlpRauz at full pelt without a stop. Loooong way.

St Anton is good, but not as good as Val Disere IMHO but it is a close 2nd. Apres is crazy with the moose and the kk being the best. Ski area when linked to Alp Ruez, St Christoph, Zurz and lech is massive. You wont get bored there thats for sure. St Christoph and Alp Ruez can be skied too and back too ST Anton easily. Zurz requires a free bus from Alp Ruez but then lech and zurs can be skied to and from each other again easily on piste.

You can ski to Zurs from St anton but this is off piste.

Over all a great area, but it can get very very busy on the home runs (more so than any where else i have been)

Lech and oberlech are well worth doing. some great piste and off piste runs over there plus it is also a little higher the St Anton so lower runs can hold up a bit better.

Also get up to Valluga if the weathers good. Stunning views and some great runs

I've been about 6 times to St Anton and for me its the best place I've been the off piste is as good as anywhere I've experienced
The apres is surely as good as it gets literally 5000 people rammed in a pub great music awesome atmosphere not a hint of trouble as mentioned the board back into town drunk is obviously pretty dangerous although you won't think so at the time but so so funny bodies literally everywhere
Last year kings of Leon sex on fire was bouncing the upstairs of the mooservert best atmosphere I've ever experienced
its not all about the nightlife though if the snows good the boarding is awesome too 🙂
If your chalet has a night off bo bo's in town does good food 🙂
